Making Room for Revival

We have a rare opportunity to make more room for more families to experience the presence and power of Jesus.
Why did Jesus Center sign a lease with Temple Menorah?

Earlier in 2023, we began to get a bit full in our sanctuary and classrooms. Therefore, we added a second service at 6 pm. As a Spirit-led church, we believe we are being the most authentic version of ourselves when we do not have to squeeze our services into strict time slots. Therefore, having one service in the morning and one service the evening is most conducive for Jesus Center to be the unique expression that she is. We have therefore been praying and looking for a space that could accommodate more people, especially on Sunday morning, where we have been the tightest.

Temple Menorah can host four times the people that our current facility can max out at.

Where is Temple Menorah located?

Temple Menorah is about 3 miles from our current location on the border of West Torrance, South Torrance, and Redondo Beach.
It is about 2 miles west from the Del Amo Fashion Center.
It is up on the hill, so it is visible from Sepulveda.
Temple Menorah is very unique in that it has scenic views of the entire South Bay and the Harbor Area.

Address: 1101 Camino Real, Redondo Beach 90277

Would other groups at Temple Menorah there when we are there?

Every Sunday, we will be there.
There is another group who rents a few classroom on Sunday afternoon.
We will have services there Sunday morning and night.
We will make the place feel like JESUS CENTER.
We hope to be good tenants and bless the community at Temple Menorah.
They are still an active Jewish Synagogue and are leasing from them.

Would anything change about our Sunday morning services?

We will have a lot more room to grow.
We will be still having the same kind of worship service that is unique to us.

We are hoping to bring back church potlucks once a month, as there is a beautiful fellowship area.
We also hope to do more family events at the nearby parks after service (Wilderness and Alta Vista).
Eventually, we can also add more age specific children's ministry, because we will have up to eight classrooms.

What would happen to our current facility at 3555 Lomita Blvd?

We will keep our current facility as we are still on a lease.
We will also be having our Wednesday night youth meetings and School of the Holy Spirit classes there.
It will also remain our house a prayer on Fridays.

We are in talks with other churches in the South Bay about subleasing our space on Sunday mornings, since we won't be there, and it is an exciting way to partner to build up the body of Christ in the South Bay.

What does the church need in order to make this move towards expansion?

More volunteers will be needed.
We are praying for those with servants hearts to step up in this coming season! We are moving from settlers to pioneering again.
For those who would like to help, we will be sharing about the opportunities to serve.

We will need to get some new equipment.
We are moving into a semi-portable set up, so we will need to purchase some new audio and video equipment along with signage and displays.
We want to do everything with excellence as worship unto our Lord.
The classrooms will also need some upgrades so we can best equip our children.
Temple Menorah is also leasing us a few office spaces.

We will need some extra funds for the increase.
Adding a facility will incur a greater overhead for the church, about doubling our monthly payment for facilities.

We are praying for 88,000 dollars to come for this move to come in by March 25th:
TOTAL SO FAR:

$80,105.64
