THE GLORY FAST
March 8-29th, 2024
text “glory” to 424-353-2300

“When Solomon finished praying, fire came down from heaven and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices, and the glory of the Lord filled the temple. The priests could not enter the temple of the Lord because the glory of the Lord filled it. When all the Israelites saw the fire coming down and the glory of the Lord above the temple, they knelt on the pavement with their faces to the ground, and they worshiped and gave thanks to the Lord, saying,

‘He is good;
    his love endures forever.’”
(2 Chronicles 7:1-3)

May every knee in the South Bay bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. May they fall on their face and say the Lord is among you. We pray for an explosion of evangelism.

DAY 2: EL: The Strong One. More powerful and dependable than any false God. (Exodus 15:2, Numbers 23:22)

May we receive the spirit of Elijah to demonstrate the power of God over Baal. May we not be afraid to defeat the Kingdom of darkness. May we demonstrate Your Kingdom.

DAY 3: EL ELOHE YISRAEL: The God of Israel. The God who is distinct from the gods of the world. (Genesis 33:20. Exodus 5:1)

May the eyes of Israel be opened to see their beautiful Savior. May they know how much You love them and long for intimacy with them.

DAY 4: EL ELYON: The God Most High. We can put our trust in the Sovereign God. (Genesis 4:17-22, Psalm 78:35)

May there be a sovereign move of God that is undeniable. Take the reins! Do something only You can take the credit for.

DAY 5: ELOHIM: The All-Powerful Creator. He creates all, and is everywhere at all times. (Genesis 1:1-3, Deuteronomy 10:17)

May there be creative miracles breaking out in and outside the church. Help our unbelief! May we see the unusual miracles!

DAY 6: EL OLAM: The Everlasting God. He is the beginning and the end who gives strength to the weary. (Genesis 90:1-2, Isaiah 40:28)

We pray against weariness and may God’s people be revived. May our love for You and commitment to Your purposes be renewed by Your Spirit!

DAY 7: EL ROI: The God who Sees Me. He knows us and cares for us, and sees us in our troubles (Genesis 16:11-14, Psalm 139:7-12)

May lost souls all over the South Bay have an encounter with the God who sees them. Release the prophetic gifts!

DAY 8: EL SHADDAI: The All Sufficient One. (Genesis 17:1-3, Psalm 90:2)

May hearts that are lonely and empty be filled by the nurturing love of God — even through His church.

DAY 9: IMMANUEL: God with Us. Jesus is God in our midst. (Isaiah 7:14,8:8-10)

May there be a tangible sense of His presence every time we gather. May people recognize that You dwell with us and we with You.

DAY 10: JEHOVAH: “I AM”, The Self-Existent one. He never changes. (Exodus 3:14, Psalm 102)

May the unchanging God crash in and change everything in us that is inconsistent with Him.

DAY 11: JEHOVAH JIREH: The Lord will Provide. He will meet all of our needs. (Genesis 22:13-14, Psalm 23)

We pray for You to lead us and give us clarity of which way to go. We ask You to lead us away from folly and help us make wise decisions.

DAY 19: YAH: “I AM” The One Who Is. His promises never faith. He remains faithful. (Exodus 3:14, 15:2, Psalm 46:1).

We pray that we would be a church that is quick to obey you, who will know the fear of the Lord. Give us understanding of what it means to be in covenant with You. We pray that You would release a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of You. May we experience aspects of your nature we have been previously hardened to.
