Class Update # 4: August 1st, 2023 11:49 pm
So grateful you were part of our Healing Through the Cross class!
We heard a number of powerful testimonies of the inner breakthroughs that our classmates were receiving through the weeks. We had people in the class from 4 different states. We made some new friends who love Jesus deeply.
TESTIMONIES:
- One of my favorite ones comes from someone who shared how for 88 years he was collecting pain and wounds, and heard he was to give it to the Lord, but through this class, he was actually able to give them to the Lord and be free!
- Tonight, in San Pedro, someone shared how she realized she didn't have to be perfect for the Lord to love her, and He will love her even in her anger.
THE FINAL LESSON:
In our final lesson we learned that our Abba is not just the God of correction, but the God of affirmation. That seemed to really strike a chord tonight as we waited on the Lord to listen for affirmation!

WHAT'S NEXT?
We will be offering another four-week inner healing class presenting the Immanuel Approach right after Labor Day. It will be called THE JOYFUL JOURNEY (based off the book with the same title).
We will offer this class on both Monday and Tuesday at 7 pm.
Meanwhile, for those who are hungry to grow in our devotion to the Lord, we will be offering a Sunday and Monday night class on Lectio Divina every Monday in August. In person and on Zoom.
Lectio Divina simply means “sacred reading”.
There are four easy movements: Read, Reflect, Respond in prayer, and Rest in silence.
Through this prayerful mediation of the Scriptures, the Word of God will open to us like never before. We are turning our attention away from the worries and pressures of this world, and turning to the life-giving Word of God, leading us to experience peace and joy. In this class, we will not only learn about the ancient art of Lectio Divina, but we will have time to practice together!
